We are a Custom Upholstery and custom furniture shop based out of sunny Palm Springs California, we are family owned and operated and have been in business since 1990 in the same location at 724 S Eugene rd. We specialize in custom furniture made to order from a simple stool to a unique and custom sectional sofa to fit your unique style and size. All of our furniture is made with nothing but the best materials from our kiln dried Alder wood used in every piece to our small but critical pieces like our galvanized staples. We can also take your existing piece and remodel it to your dream piece for your unique home. We have a wide variety of fabric selection to order from and work with nothing but the best companies in the industry.

History behind Univeral Custom Upholstery :
35 years ago one man started with a passion and skill set like no other. His passion was to take someone’s used worn down piece of furniture and turn it into something worth calling a work of art. This man Juventino Villagrana Sr his attention to detail was like no other, along with his skill and expertise. It made for a superb combination in the upholstery and custom furniture industry. What once started as a small one man operation quickly turned into a full on custom furniture and upholstery shop, all thanks to his dedication and hard work. Fast forward some years his sons Ivan & Tino Jr. chose to continue his legacy, Ivan chose to pursue the carpentry side of the business and Tino the Upholstery. Together they now continue his vision and legacy along side him.
